Rejuvenating the Restore
Over the holidays, I had the chance to help “Rejuvenate the ReStore” by replacing the old broad-loom carpet with modern carpet tiles. After a couple of decades, the flooring was worn and deteriorating, so it was time for a refresh. With the help of enthusiastic volunteers and generous in-kind donations from local businesses, we transformed the furniture sales floor into a brighter, more welcoming space for customers.
This update marks the third phase of a larger master plan that has also included a new checkout station and a warehouse reorganization. Every improvement helps the ReStore better serve the community and support Habitat for Humanity’s mission to help families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
Shopping at the ReStore also supports sustainability by keeping usable home improvement items and furniture out of landfills and giving them a second life.
